Habits to Enhance Longevity

According to the CDC, Americans have a much shorter life expectancy compared to almost all other high-income countries, A Harvard study (1) which followed 78,000 women and 44,000 men for around 30 years, showed that you may prolong your life by 10 years or more by following 5 simple habits:

  • No smoking

  • No Alcohol

  • Regular exercise

  • Good diet

  • Weight control.

This study also showed that participants were 82% less likely to die from cardiovascular disease and 65% less likely to die from cancer when compared to those with the least healthy lifestyles.

At Medic Health, we promote these and other healthy habits. We guide our treatments based on the fundamental pillars of Lifestyle Medicine. These pillars form the basic core of our approach to disease management and are embedded in the services and treatments we offer at our clinic. We will monitor and encourage these pillars at each visit.
